By unplugging children from computers, television and their normal routine, we’re allowing them to make new friends, be creative in a safe environment and make their own reality, far from virtual. Children from all over the area will make friends, learn new skills and have fun while under the watchful eye of our trained counselors. Summer camp helps to bridge the gap between childhood and adulthood by building self-esteem, leadership skills and stretching the imagination.
This year Camp Fire USA celebrates 100 years of ongoing service across the country. Buckeye Council will take place in the celebration on July 31with an open house, special ceremonial campfire lighting and other activities. We are searching for past members or anyone who participated in Camp Fire in any level to contact us by joining in and sharing some of their most heartfelt memories with Camp Fire. Please contact us at 419-332-8641, director@campfirefremont.com or 2100 Baker Rd., Fremont OH 43420.
